National Metis Status Cards are available from the METIS NATION OF CANADA.

On January 21, 2009 the METIS NATION OF CANADA, received from the Minister of Industry by virtue of the powers vested in him by the Canada Corporations Act, LETTERS PATENT.

We welcome all Metis People to join the Metis Nation of Canada.

Canadian Constitution ; Section 35 (2)  The aboriginal People of Canada include the Indian, Inuit and the Metis.

Where as the Metis People of Canada, from : British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, NorthWest Territories, Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Nunavut, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Alberta and the Yukon seek equality for the Metis People of Canada to that being offered to the other Aboriginal People of Canada, the Indian and Inuit. ( examples: Post-Secondary Education, Non-Insured Health Benefits, Harvesting and Mobility Rights)
